Pudhina Pulao with tomato pakoda

An easy and flavoured rice based recipe made with mint leaves, coriander leaves and mixed vegetables


Pudhina Pulao Recipe:


Ingredients:


In a Bowl

  1. Mint Leaves - 1 cup

  2. Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup

  3. Chopped ginger - 1.5 tbsp

  4. Garlic cloves - 10 to 12

  5. Dessicated Coconut - 1/2 cup

  6. Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp

  7. Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp

  8. Green Chillies - 2

  9. Salt to taste

  10. Water - 1/2 cup

In a Pan (Cook the rice)

  1. Water - 1 litre

  2. Salt to taste

  3. Soaked Basmati Rice - 400g

In another Pan

  1. Oil - 2 tsp

  2. Butter - 1 tsp

  3. Cumin seeds - 2 tsp

  4. Whole Spices

  5. Onions, sliced - 1 cup

  6. Cubed Potatoes - 3/4 cup

  7. Salt to taste

Tomato Pakoda Recipe:


Ingredients


To make paste (in a grinder)

  1. Coriander - 1 cup

  2. Green Chilli, chopped - 4

  3. Ginger, chopped - 1 inch

  4. Salt as per taste

  5. Black Salt - 1/2 tsp

  6. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

  7. Chaat Masala - 1 tsp

To make paste (after grinding)

  1. Sev - 2 tbsp

  2. Lemon juice - 1 tsp

Making Tomato Pakoda

  1. Tomato - 3 (cut into medium thick slices)

  2. Place it flat and put the paste on top of the tomato slices

In a bowl (batter)

  1. Gram Flour - 1 cup

  2. Rice Flour - 3 tbsp

  3. Salt as per taste

  4. Carom Seeds (ajwain) - 1/2 tsp

  5. Water - (little by little)

  6. Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
